A Sheffield repair business built on straight talking

We started Santee Appliance Repairs because we believed there was room for a repair company that genuinely prioritised honesty over sales. That still drives how we work today.

Our Story

How Santee Appliance Repairs began

Santee Appliance Repairs was established in Sheffield in 2012. Our founder, Marcus Webb, had spent several years working for a large national repair network and kept encountering the same frustrations — customers being told appliances were beyond repair when they weren't, vague pricing, and engineers rushing through visits without proper explanation.

Marcus set up Santee with a different approach: be honest about what's wrong, be clear about what it costs, and don't recommend a repair that isn't worth it. That straightforward philosophy has stayed with us as the business has grown.

Today we have three engineers working across Sheffield and South Yorkshire. We repair washing machines, fridges, freezers, ovens, cookers, and dishwashers, and we still operate with the same approach Marcus started with.

What We Stand For

Our values in practice

Honesty first

If an appliance isn't worth repairing, we'll tell you. We don't measure success by how many jobs we turn into repairs — we measure it by whether customers feel they were treated fairly.

Clarity over jargon

We explain faults in plain language. You shouldn't need a technical background to understand what's wrong with your appliance or why a repair costs what it costs.

Accountable service

We're a small local business. If something goes wrong, you can reach us easily. We stand behind our work with a guarantee and a genuine commitment to putting things right.
